Background
The TWAICE battery analytics platform is about analyzing data and providing you with valuable insights. In Health Analytics, we show you the important battery KPIs, State of Health, Equivalent Full Cycles, DC Resistance, Voltage spreads and temperature spreads.
However, in some circumstances, not all components provide enough data, meaning the TWAICE algorithms are not able to calculate and provide these battery KPIs for every single component. Before we introduced this feature, missing components could have caused confusion or frustration because you were not able to see these strings when doing further analysis.
Now, when this problem occurs, you can see how many strings are missing data for the respective KPI. In the example below, there are 95 strings missing the relevant data to calculate SoH and there are 4 strings missing data necessary for calculating the Equivalent Full Cycles.
If no components are missing data, you will see a green check-mark to confirm this, as shown in this example:
Why are components missing data sometimes?
There are a few different reasons why components might be missing the necessary data.
Firstly, it could mean that the storage system has not sent data for the respective component in the selected timeframe.
Secondly, it could mean that the data that was sent did not fulfil the requirements for the respective KPI, for example:
the minimum Depth of Discharge (DoD) for SoH or
the component was not operated in the required voltage window to calculate the voltage spreads
What can I do about it?
To dig deeper into which strings are missing data for the respective KPI, just click on "[Number] missing". This means you set a filter, meaning only these strings are visible on the dashboard. Then scroll down to find which strings are the ones missing data.
Step 1: click on "4 missing"
Step 2: Scroll down to see which strings are missing data
Benefits of this new feature
We are always working hard to help improve your user experience on the TWAICE platform. With this feature, you get:
More transparency into the strings for which KPIs cannot be calculated
Less frustration when doing further analysis into individual strings
An overview of how many strings are not providing enough data
If you have further questions about this feature or why data might be missing, do not hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success manager. We always appreciate your feedback.
