Introduction
To use TWAICE analytics, operational data from your battery energy storage system (BESS) must be available in the cloud. While many customers already have this infrastructure in place, others may not yet have direct access to their data or a reliable way to stream it.
In addition to standard ingestion methods (such as API ingestion), TWAICE offers a Unified Data Foundation as a complete, end-to-end solution for bringing your asset data into the TWAICE platform.
This service is designed for customers who:
Do not yet have their BESS data available in the cloud
Lack a unified or reliable data pipeline
Want to accelerate onboarding without building custom integrations
The TWAICE Unified Data Foundation enables secure, real-time data transfer from your site to the TWAICE platform via a WebSocket connection, ensuring a stable and continuous data flow for analytics.

How It Works
Data Collection at Site
Your asset data is collected from on-site systems and devices by our data acquisition partner.Cloud Aggregation
The partner aggregates and standardizes the data within their cloud platform.Real-Time Data Streaming
Data is streamed to TWAICE via a secure WebSocket connection, enabling continuous, real-time transmission.Data Ingestion & Processing
The TWAICE Data Ingestion Service receives and processes the incoming data stream.Analytics & Monitoring
The processed data is made available in the TWAICE platform for analysis, monitoring, and insights.
Implementation Support
Onboarding includes end-to-end support from the TWAICE team and our data acquisition partner:
Solution Deployment & Configuration: Provisioning and configuring IoT hardware, onboarding devices, and setting up the data acquisition environment including asset structures.
Connectivity & Data Enablement: Validating device installation, ensuring secure connectivity, and confirming accurate data transmission into the platform.
System Integration: Supporting agreed integrations with existing BESS data systems (e.g., SCADA, EMS, BMS), including sensor and data mapping and testing.
Testing & Commissioning: Conducting system verification, validating data logic, and supporting user acceptance testing prior to go-live.
