Introduction
To use TWAICE analytics, operational data from your battery energy storage system (BESS) must be available in the cloud. While many customers already have this infrastructure in place, others may not yet have direct access to their data or a reliable way to stream it.
In addition to standard ingestion methods, TWAICE offers Unified Data Foundation, a fully managed service for bringing your asset data into the TWAICE platform.
This service is designed for customers who:
Don't yet have their BESS data available in the cloud
Lack a unified or reliable data pipeline
Prefer not to build a custom integration
Unified Data Foundation streams data from your site to the TWAICE platform continuously, via a secure WebSocket connection.

How It Works
Data Collection at Site: Your asset data is collected from on-site systems and devices by our data acquisition partner.
Cloud Aggregation: The partner aggregates and standardizes the data within their cloud platform.
Real-Time Data Streaming: Data is streamed to TWAICE via a secure WebSocket connection, enabling continuous, real-time transmission.
Data Ingestion & Processing: TWAICE receives and processes the incoming data stream.
Analytics & Monitoring: The processed data is made available in the TWAICE platform for analysis, monitoring, and insights.
Implementation Support
Onboarding includes support from the TWAICE team and our data acquisition partner, across the following stages:
Solution deployment and configuration. Provisioning and configuring IoT hardware, onboarding devices, and setting up the data acquisition environment, including asset structures.
Connectivity and data enablement. Validating device installation and confirming secure, accurate data transmission into the platform.
System integration. Supporting agreed integrations with existing BESS data systems (e.g., SCADA, EMS, BMS), including sensor and data mapping and testing.
Testing and commissioning. Conducting system verification, validating data logic, and supporting user acceptance testing prior to go-live.
